Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- The Marietta History Center is hosting the "Women's Voices for Civil Rights" exhibit from Thursday, Aug. 11 through Sep. 8. The exhibit is part of the Kennesaw State University's Museum of History and Holocaust Education series. The exhibit has been funded through the Breman Foundation of Atlanta. (Cobb County Courier)
- Lockheed Martin is reportedly pursuing a project that could bring 3,000 jobs to its Marietta facility. The jobs would be over the course of a 20-year period. The jobs would be through a $1.6 billion investment through the Department of Defense's high-impact aerospace defense project. The project would potentially create the next generation of military aircraft. (Cobb County Courier)
