2 People Found Dead In Car In Gwinnett County
A 54-year-old man was taken into custody in Tennessee following the discovery, police said.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A suspect is in custody after two people were found dead inside a car in Gwinnett County on Friday.
Just after 10 p.m., officers responded to a call about a person shot in the 3200 block of Windscape Village Lane in Norcross. When officers arrived, police said they located a man with a wound on his neck, in addition to a witness.
Shortly after, officers received a second call about two people who were found inside a car near Harbins Road and Harbins Point Lane in Lilburn. According to police, both people had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators responded to both locations and, after speaking to witnesses and collecting evidence, determined the incidents were connected.
Following an investigation, police identified 54-year-old Javier Aragon Ruiz as a suspect in the incidents. He was taken into custody by Tennessee state troopers as he was traveling through the state, police said.

Aragon Ruiz is currently being held at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in Springfield, Tennessee. The victim’s names will be released following next-of-kin notifications.
