Norcross Co-Op Corporate Division Campaign Gets Underway

NORCROSS, GA – April 5, 2013 - The Norcross Cooperative Ministry (NCM) today announced the Restoring Hope! initiative is transitioning into the Corporate Division phase of their campaign focusing on business and industry in the greater Norcross area.  The Corporate Division goal is $1,000,000 pledged over the next five years.

Through the Restoring Hope! initiative, the Norcross Co-op will implement three programs to benefit the Norcross area:

• Transform Lives – The Norcross Cooperative Ministry will work closely with a minimum of 100 families over the next five years to help them break the cycle of poverty and return to a productive lifestyle.
• Provide New and Expanded Services – NCM will increase food distribution and emergency housing and begin to provide non-food items to families in need.
• Educate and Communicate – The Ministry will expand local awareness of the needs in the greater Norcross area.

Co-chairs of the Corporate Division are Randy Fretz, Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary with Columbia Property Trust and Mark Waller, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Associated Credit Union.

Thirty volunteers will comprise the Corporate Division Team.  These local business leaders will contact 250 businesses in the greater Norcross area to garner their support for the Norcross Cooperative Ministry.  “Restoring Hope! is an outstanding opportunity to participate in transforming lives in our community.  Just as our families and businesses have been blessed, Restoring Hope! is a great way for us to help others who are trying so hard to free themselves from poverty and improve the lives of their families,” said Randy Fretz.

Mark Waller adds, “We need the corporate community in Norcross to demonstrate their leadership for those in need. We intend to exceed our fundraising goal in support of the Norcross Cooperative Ministry and the services they provide to thousands of people in our area of Gwinnett County.  Ultimately, the Restoring Hope! initiative will significantly impact the lives of all who are receiving ...but it will impact the lives of all who are Giving. Restoring HOPE! is a great way for local businesses to team up and help the alarming number of families right here in Norcross who struggle to meet their basic needs every day.”
