• Murder Suspect Arrested In Fatal Gas Station Shooting In DeKalb (patch.com) — A 22-year-old Norcross resident has been arrested in connection with a woman’s fatal 21st-birthday shooting at a Moreland Avenue gas station in DeKalb County. Deputies say the suspect was taken into custody at a Gwinnett County hospital after a joint effort by DeKalb and Gwinnett sheriff’s offices and the U.S. Marshals Service.
   

• Atlanta meth lab kingpin sentenced to 30 years after massive seizure (fox5atlanta.com) — Federal agents dismantled a large-scale meth operation tied to a Norcross neighborhood, where they found a conversion lab, cash, guns, and a .50-caliber rifle. The ringleader has now been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, with his co-defendant already serving 20 years. Officials say the case shows their commitment to keeping metro Atlanta communities safer from drug trafficking.
   

• Savannah State Football Adds Mid-Season Transfers (savannahtribune.com) — A Norcross native wide receiver, Joshua Okeleye, is among five mid-season transfers joining Savannah State’s 2026 football roster after a strong season at Georgia Military College. The Tigers are bolstering their offense with four new linemen and Okeleye, who logged eight catches, 68 yards, and a touchdown in nine games. It’s another local athlete moving up in Georgia’s college football ranks.
