• Teen Arrested During Police Chase In Norcross (patch.com) — Norcross residents are learning more about a police chase that ended with the arrest of a 17-year-old at Langford Road and Buford Highway after he allegedly fled a traffic stop and crashed into two civilian vehicles and an unmarked sheriff’s car. Authorities say the teen, identified as Abraham Quintanilla, already faced seven aggravated assault counts and now faces additional charges including drug possession, reckless driving, and weapons offenses while being held on bond at Gwinnett County Jail.
   

• Spain Park splits pair of games at Peachtree Corners Invitational (shelbycountyreporter.com) — A visiting Spain Park High School squad wrapped up 2025 at Norcross High School, splitting two games in the Peachtree Corners Invitational in Norcross. The Jaguars fell behind early to Georgia power Newton on Dec. 29 despite strong three-point shooting, trimming the deficit to single digits before ultimately losing as the Rams pulled away in the fourth quarter.
