• Pedestrian hit by car while carrying infant in body harness: GSP (11alive.com) — A man carrying an infant in a body harness was struck by a car while crossing Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross, leaving the baby seriously injured, according to Georgia State Patrol. Both were hospitalized, while a woman walking with them was not hurt, highlighting safety concerns for pedestrians on that busy corridor.

• Georgia swears in its youngest state representative (wisconsinmuslimjournal.org) — Norcross residents just witnessed history as 21-year-old Akbar Ali was sworn in there as Georgia’s youngest-ever state representative, serving a diverse Gwinnett County district. He’s promising to focus on property taxes, HOA fees, civil rights, and immigration while working across party lines and continuing to knock on doors in the community.
