DeKalb Cooperative Extension Offers Personal Development Classes

DeKalb Cooperative Extension kicks off its 2011 Personal Development Series, Wednesday, June 1, 6:10pm - 8:30pm, at the DeKalb Cooperative Extension Office, 4380 Memorial Dr. in Decatur. This year’s series includes personal development and financial management seminars that enrich and empower DeKalb residents.

Classes are as follows:

Home Based Business Basics Series
June 1, 6 and 8; Cost: $10
Learn how to start a home-based business or expand a current business in this three-part series.

How to Squeeze the Most Out of Your Money
July 19; Cost: $7
Learn the basics of managing money and expenses in this two-hour seminar.

Money Management Basics I & II
July 25 and 26; Cost: $7
Participants will learn the importance of having a checking account, keeping good financial records and reconciling a bank account in this two-day series.

Goal Setting
Aug. 18 and 25; Cost: $7
The two-part seminar is designed to help participants understand the importance of writing correct goals and turning those goals into a financial plan.

Success Strategies for Small Businesses in Tough Times
Sept. 14; Cost: $7
The seminar will provide great strategies for achieving success of your business during difficulteconomic times.
