A resident of The Park at Briarcliff apartment complex was assaulted by frustrated robbers while carrying her laundry home late Monday night, according to a DeKalb County police report.

The 30-year-old victim had finished doing her laundry in the apartment complex's laundry room at 1410 Druid Valley Dr. at about 11:30pm, the report said. While walking home, she heard steps following behind her and ran. But two men caught up to her and pushed her to the ground and demanded money.

Police were called to the home at about 8:35am. The victim told a police officer he left the front door open for an acquaintance whom he let stay with him for the night, the report said. When the victim spoke to the acquaintance, he became upset and pointed a silver and black .357 revolver at his head.
