Police Release Photos from PTC Armed Robbery

Police said the suspect pulled out a silver revolver and stole $3,500 in cash from a Peachtree Corners Family Dollar store.

Gwinnett Police have released surveillance camera images of the suspect in an armed robbery last week in Peachtree Corners.

Police said the suspected is wanted in connection with an Aug. 20 robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 7050 Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Gwinnett Police public information officer Cpl. Deon Washington said the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

“The clerk was counting money in the safe when a black male entered the store,” Washington said in a news release. “As the clerk counted the money in the safe, the male displayed a silver revolver, tossed a black back pack in his direction and ordered him to fill the back pack with cash.”

The suspect fled with $3,500 in cash.

Description (from GCPD):

  • Black Male
  • Age: 30-35
  • 5’10” to 6 feet
  • 200-220 lbs
  • Last seen wearing: black long sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, black hat, glasses and a black backpack
  • Has a silver revolver

Detectives need help from the public to identify the suspect. GCPD Robbery Unit detectives can be reached at 770-513-5300.
