Strong Thunderstorms Could Come Rolling in This Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for north Georgia, including Peachtree Corners.

Wednesday is officially the first day of spring but Tuesday could bring spring-like weather to the area with severe storms and the possibilty of a tornardo.

The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for the north and central Georgia predicting the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms for later today and into the evening.

The report says showers and thunderstorms will move into western Georgia with storms expecting to intensify through early afternoon "with the threat for strong to severe storms bringing large hail, damaging winds and the risk of an isoloated tornado."

And according to the NWS report, a secondary area of showers and strong to severe storms will develop along the actual cold front tonight.
