Here are the top stories today in Sandy Springs:

  1. The Atlanta Police Department has called on the public to participate in a program that utilizes public and private security cameras across the city. The program, called Connect Atlanta, was introduced in January, and residents can participate at no cost to them. Since its inception, residents have registered over 3,100 cameras. (CBS 46 News)
  2. Seven people were arrested following a two-month investigation of massage parlors in Brookhaven. Brookhaven police received a tip in May, which made claims of prostitution and unlicensed massage practices. Seven people were arrested between the two businesses, including two individuals who were arrested for pandering. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. A mural in nearby Doraville hopes to promote unity through food culture. The piece was revealed at Pinetree Plaza along the Buford Highway and showcases the diversity of the surrounding area through its food. The mural is one part of a larger project within Doraville. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
