Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. Art Classes at Sandy Springs' Abernathy Arts Center have resumed. The classes went on a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The center will be offering a large assortment of classes into December. Each class has a maximum size of 12 individuals. Click for more information. (Reporter Newspapers)
2. This season's last guided walk with the Sandy Springs Conservancy Trail Blazers is scheduled for this Saturday. The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. The walk is limited to 25 participants. Click to register for the walk. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
3. A judge has sentenced Dominique Houston to 15 years in prison for the deadly hit-and-run of a Sandy Springs man and his dog. Michael Farmer was struck in April 2021 in front of his Hammond Drive home. Houston had been fleeing from the scene of another wreck on Roswell Road at the time of the hit-and-run. (WSB Atlanta)
