  1. Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Sandy Springs police officers assisted in quelling the violence at the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center over the weekend. Investigators have charged 23 individuals with domestic terrorism after they threw rocks and explosives at officers at the site of the planned training facility. While Atlanta's officers had their hands full, Fulton County and Sandy Springs officers and deputies stepped in to assist. (Subscription: AJC.com)
  2. There are only a few days left until the groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station No. 5. The new fire station, located in the city's panhandle area on Mount Vernon Road, will reach two stories high and have 11,000 square feet of space. Most importantly, this new firehouse is expected to reduce response times by as much as seven minutes. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Mar. 16 at 7800 Mount Vernon Road. (AJC.com)
  3. Rep. Josh McLaurin is among the lawmakers arguing against handing oversight of election donations. During Monday's Crossover Day in Georgia legislature, Rep. McLaurin asked Republican lawmakers "if private donations to support sheriffs and police departments should be treated differently than local election offices." (Georgia Recorder)
