- One Sandy Springs councilmember has made a point to raise a discussion regarding gun violence in the chamber in the wake of the deadly mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Andy Bauman represents District 6 and announced a presentation at the June 7 City Council meeting titled, "Beyond Thoughts and Prayers." Bauman hoped to open a dialogue with City Council regarding necessary steps that can be taken to prevent gun violence in schools, and communities. (Reporter Newspapers)
- The Sandy Springs Library will host an art exhibit presented by the Dunwoody Fine Arts Association this summer. The artwork will run in tandem with the library's "Oceans of Possibilities" initiative, offering many activities for young children. The installation will be on display until July 31.
