Big Tree Falls Over Roswell Road

Saturday night traffic was detoured after a tree fell forward over Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

By Sunday morning, a tree service had removed a tree that fell forward and loomed over Roswell Road on Saturday night, dropping large branches and debris onto the street. The tree was on or adjacent to the property at The Pointe at Canyon Ridge apartment community, just north of Northridge Road. 

Police cars blocked north and southbound traffic at 8350 Roswell Road, where the apartment community is located.

The tree was located in a deep tree-filled grassy area. The attached photos show the stump and area where the tree stood.
