Bold Burglars Break Into Sandy Springs Home While Contractors at Work in Yard

The suspects fled and were caught in just over 30 minutes.

 

Confident burglars broke into a Spalding Drive home, while a contracting crew was working in the backyard on April 18, according to a Sandy Springs Police report.

The suspects were caught in just over 30 minutes.

The report said, Michael Espino heard a loud boom about 10:55 a.m. He thought a work truck had hit the house. When he checked it out, Espino saw a man standing next to an SUV, and another man run from the side door of the home and jump into the vehicle, the report said.

After SSPD was notified, an officer stopped the vehicle on Peachtree Dunwoody Road, at 11:30 a.m.

Espino was brought to the traffic stop location, identified the suspects, and they were arrested.
