- The City of Sandy Springs has applied for a grant that would facilitate a composting program. The grant would be for $95,000 and would be awarded in January 2023 if the city is chosen. The city hopes that the program would reduce solid waste. (Reporter Newspapers)
- A Sandy Springs area teen is now in a wheelchair due to a football practice injury. The 14-year-old was in a head-to-head collision during a one-on-one drill in August. The teen, Kavion Coleman, received treatment at Sandy Springs' Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Coleman's parents are urging children and teens to take extra caution when playing football. (WSBTV)
- Next week, Fulton County is participating in Disability Voting Rights Week. The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections will be spreading the following message: "Your vote is your right, and your vote is powerful" to disabled individuals in our community. The department will be visiting Heritage Sandy Springs on Blue Stone Road on Monday at 4:00 p.m. to ensure disabled voters have the resources they need to vote. (Fulton County)
