- Fulton County will be distributing $2.3 million through its Contracts for Service program. The money will be used to support individual artists, art programs, and art-related organizations. This year, 190 recipients have been identified. The purpose of the funds is to increase the community's economic vitality while enriching culture. (SaportaReport)
- The Sandy Springs area is expected to experience a 53.4 percent population increase through 2060. The expected increase would raise the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Alpharetta area's population to about 9.5 million. A report from Washington D.C.-based Woods & Poole Economics, Inc. detailed the potential increase. (247 Wall Street)
- A detainee at the Fulton County Jail allegedly stabbed a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy on Monday morning. The attack occurred around 7:30 a.m. and the deputy is reportedly recovering at a local hospital. The department is investigating how Richard Parham had access to a weapon while at the jail.
