Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:

  1. A North Fulton County cow was taken into custody by the Milton Police Department. The portly bovine was roaming the area of Francis Road, County Ridge Road, and Thompson Road. The escaped cow eventually was returned to its rightful owner. The department has not released the cow's identity. (WSBRadio)
  2. Fulton County will be celebrating National Customer Service Week from Oct. 3 through Oct. 7. The week is meant to recognize the county's excellent, consistent, courteous, and accurate customer service. The county will be presenting a Proclamation during the Board of Commissioners Meeting on Oct. 5. (Fulton County)
  3. Residents report that speeding vehicles are making I-285 in Sandy Springs dangerous. The Sandy Springs Police Department reports that crashes on the highway are on the rise. The crashes are primarily due to speeding and distracted driving. There have been more than 1,000 crashes on I-285 this year. (WSBTV)
