The 92-year-old woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in the accident on Glenridge Connector in Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The driver who was transported to an Atlanta hospital following an accident on Thursday in Sandy Springs has died from her injuries. Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham said Harriett Bailey, 92, of Dunwoody, was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Bailey was the driver of one of two vehicles involved in the crash reported around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11 on Glenridge Connector at Meridian Mark Road. An investigation conducted by Sandy Springs police traffic investigators determined two vehicles, a 2000 Crown Victoria and a 2011 Jeep Compass, collided near the intersection.

The Jeep came to a rest in the median while the Crown Victoria "accelerated across the median, and struck an embankment on the side of the road," Sgt. Worsham told Patch.
