Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado hit nearby South Cobb on Jan. 12. The tornado reached 110 miles per hour during its mile-and-a-half-long path which started in Douglas County. An estimated 50 homes were damaged during the tornado. (Cobb County Courier)
2. Alexis R. Young, 24, has been missing from Atlanta since Jan. 10. Young was last seen near Ethel Street wearing dark gray leggings, a pink hoodie, a black cap, and black tennis shoes. Anyone with information on Young's location is asked to contact investigators at (404) 546-2494. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
3. A 22-year-old man was shot in nearby Atlanta after leaving a store on Saturday. The man was on Continental Colony Parkway Southwest when a car began shooting at him around 4:16 p.m. The Atlanta police ask anyone with information to reach out to them directly. (WSB Atlanta)
