- Attorney General Chris Carr has filed an emergency motion to delay a ruling by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas A. Cox Jr. The judge ruled that early in-person voting would be allowed on Saturday, Nov. 26 statewide. Both candidates have started campaigning while the Saturday early voting is being debated in the courts. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The Atlanta City Council is waiting on the mayor to authorize an agreement with Fulton County to address Atlanta City Detention Center overcrowding. The agreement cannot be finalized without a study into the jail populations of both city and county facilities. Ten people have died at the jail this year while more than 500 inmates are sleeping on jail floors. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
