1. Sandy Springs residents still have until July 21 to voice opinions on the Falcon Chase Pond and Pipe Rehabilitation project. The project seeks to rehab an existing pond by removing sediment and installing necessary piping. The area will be seeded and grassed following completion. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
2. Confirmed cases of monkeypox in Georgia have doubled in over a week. New data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Monday showed 30 reported cases of the virus. Only 11 states have not yet reported a case of monkeypox, and Georgia ranks 7th in total reported cases. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
