Here are the top stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. A large rainstorm on Monday caused Sandy Springs to reschedule its fireworks display. The event will be held during a City Green Live event sometime this year. The Sandy Springs Twitter account confirmed that more information would be shared when a date had been set. (11 Alive)
2. A minor is facing armed robbery charges after stealing a car and being involved in a police chase early on Wednesday morning. The suspect allegedly stole the vehicle from a Sandy Springs resident on Hunters Branch Drive before being pursued on the interstate. The driver eventually crashed the vehicle near Deering Road before being arrested and was uninjured. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
3. Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department is holding bird-watching sessions on July 16 and 18. The Bird Walk will lead participants through various habitats at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. Interested individuals are asked to register beforehand. (Reporter Newspapers)
