  1. In nearby Marietta, Robert Devlin of Alabama was arrested Saturday morning after being suspected of carrying an explosive in his pickup truck. After investigation, it was determined some components of the "bomb" did contain explosive elements, but not enough to be considered a complete bomb. Marietta police continue to investigate the incident, including why Devlin may have traveled from Alabama, or why he turned himself in. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Jacob Cain Anglin was arrested this Sunday, and currently faces a murder charge, after allegedly giving a man fentanyl-laced drugs at a Sandy Springs Comfort Inn. In October 2022, Anglin called police from a room at the Comfort Inn, saying his friend was unresponsive after staying over the night before. A staff member alerted police to look further into the incident, as Anglin was reportedly known for selling drugs to guests. The warrant reads that the suspect "knowingly and intentionally murdered James Travis Edenfield by unlawfully supplying him with drugs," and the toxicology report reads that Edenfield died with cocaine, amphetamine, and fentanyl in his system. 3. Monday morning was both historic and educational as the first ever "Latino Day at the Capitol" took place at the Georgia State Capitol. LCF Georgia and GALEO co-hosted the event with the efforts of increasing civic involvement in the Latino community and connecting the community with local leaders. Over 200 individuals attended the event, and about 16 organizations participated as community partners. (11Alive.com WXIA)
