Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:

  1. A Sandy Springs high school athlete died during a flag football game on Wednesday night. The student was a senior at The Weber School. The death was reportedly due to a medical emergency. The student's identity has not been released. Visit the CBS story to read the school's full statement. (CBS 46)
  2. A Fulton County Schools bus crashed into a ditch in Sandy Springs on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on Northridge Road. There were students on the bus at the time of the crash but none were injured. The district had a backup bus pick the kids up at the scene. The bus was transported away within an hour. (11 Alive)
  3. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is searching for an individual who assaulted a woman in the Fulton County Courthouse. The attack occurred in the women's restroom on the second floor of the building. Deputies are focusing their search around the Justice Center Complex and they reportedly have a suspect in mind as of Thursday evening. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
