  1. The Fulton County Board of Health has made free fentanyl test strips available. In partnership with StopHIVATL and the Atlanta Harm Reduction Coalition, the test strips will help stop opioid overdose deaths since fentanyl-related overdose deaths are on the rise. The free test strips are available here and at Atlanta metro health centers. (GPB News)
  2. The six suspects who were arrested during a riot in downtown Atlanta over the weekend are in the Fulton County Jail. Graham Evatt, 20, of Decatur, was the only Georgia resident of the group. Gov. Kemp said, "Law enforcement demonstrated how quickly we shut down those trying to import violence from other states, and we'll continue to do so." (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. Schools in the Atlanta area are stocking up on the life-saving drug Narcan as opioid overdose deaths are on the rise. Lynne Meadows, director of Fulton County Schools health services, said, "Looking at things that might be coming, or we might have to anticipate or have to respond to, we certainly want to be prepared and ready." Fulton County Schools carries Narcan in its high and middle schools; grant funding will help the district provide it in elementary schools for emergency use as well. (11Alive.com WXIA)
