  1. A 24-year-old Fulton County deputy was found shot to death inside a car in Atlanta on Wednesday night. A reward has been increased to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the killer. Sheriff Pat Labat said the deputy "was a very good spirit, and it didn't matter what the situation was." (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The Sandy Springs Police Department is reminding the community that driving while intoxicated is never OK – despite if it's a holiday. They ask persons drinking to call an Uber, Lyft, or family member/friend to provide a safe ride for them rather than getting behind the wheel. They wrote on their Facebook, "It only takes one drink to change your life." (Sandy Springs Police via Facebook)
  3. Grass mowing in Sandy Springs will cost taxpayers $285,680 for the last six months of the Fiscal Year 2023. The mowing costs are for all city-owned properties.
