Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:

  1. The Fulton County elections board certified the primary runoff election results on Monday morning. The smooth voting season was likely a welcome occurrence for Fulton County voters, as the county has been involved in hectic voting sessions in recent years. (Paywall: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. Fulton County has named Samir Abdullahi as the director of economic development. Abdullahi will oversee development among the county's 15 cities and will work with the state. Adbullahi recently served as the deputy director for Select Fulton and oversaw the county's COVID-19 small business and training response. (Fulton County)
  3. One individual was killed, and two others injured after shooting in Buckhead. The shooting stemmed from an argument in a shopping center on Peachtree Road. As of Monday afternoon, the suspect was still at large. (WSB Atlanta)
