  1. Sandy Springs voters will vote to replace outgoing Fulton County Board of Education member Julia Bernath. Bernath has served for 22 years, and is currently the board's president. The winner of the upcoming election will have nine months to get up to speed on the school system, and will take office in January 2023. (Reporter Newspapers)
  2. The Fulton County Schools’ head of human resources is leaving his post. Ron Wade announced his retirement through Superintendent Mike Looney at Thursday's board meeting. During his time, Wade oversaw the hiring of roughly 14,000 Fulton County Schools employees. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. A suspected car burglar made a risky attempt to escape arrest in Dunwoody earlier this week. The unidentified suspect was seen breaking into a car near Ashford Dunwoody Road, before fleeing towards the Perimeter Mall. The suspect, cornered on the side of the mall, then scaled the building wall and tried to hide on the roof before he was arrested. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
