Here are the top stories today in Sandy Springs:
- Sandy Springs residents are calling for action from the city after a car barreled through their neighborhood, and damaged multiple cars and mailboxes. Early on Sunday, June 5, the car sped through the Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Glenridge Connector intersection, which is a private road and property. The road does not continue past the gate of the community, and some measures have already been taken to prevent these kinds of accidents from happening. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- An 18 year old will face multiple felony charges after threatening to kill Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat. The teen made the comments in various Instagram posts, where he claimed he would kill the Sheriff and others if one of the high-profile defendants in the racketeering case against Young Thug and others was not released. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The average price of gas has exceeded $4.5o in metro Atlanta for the first time. The average stands at a record $4.53, 21 cents more than the previous week. (WSB Atlanta)
