Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:
- Gov. Brian Kemp discussed his plans for inflation relief in the form of $1 billion in income tax rebates for Georgians. The governor's plans also include another $1 billion to go toward property tax relief grants, which would be around $500 per Georgia homeowner. The proposal is partly intended to make it more appealing for businesses to continue to come to Georgia. (WSB Atlanta)
- Although rising interest rates may be slowing down the market, it's still a good time to check out local homes for sale. The link provides a list of recently listed properties in the Sandy Springs area, including a one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo for $207,000. (Sandy Springs Patch)
- A nationwide computer system outage has delayed more than 800 flights at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport down the road in Atlanta after domestic flights were grounded for several hours Wednesday morning. The outage affected a security and safety system used by the Federal Aviation Administration, which grounded all domestic flights across the U.S. until the system was fixed.
