- If finding a new job in the New Year is one of your resolutions, Sandy Springs is ready to help. In partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia and the Community Assistance Career Center, the city of Sandy Springs has announced a job fair for the community. The event will connect employers with potential workers. The job fair will take place on Jan. 12 at City Springs Performing Arts Center. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Sparkle Village has made the list of what to do this holiday weekend in and around Atlanta. This free holiday display offers holiday-themed miniature houses. Decorated with lights, these houses stand six feet tall! They were designed by local businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Due to high winds and intense rain, four traffic signals were having issues across Sandy Springs on Friday. Londonberry Road and Northside Drive both reported downed power lines yesterday. City crews dealt with this issue by clearing downed trees and treating roads. Authorities are asking people to stay off the roads as much as possible. (Sandy Springs Police via Facebook)
