- Local law enforcement partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration for a joint operation at a Sandy Springs shopping center on Friday. Multiple officers outfitted in tactical gear participated in the operation at the shopping center on Roswell Road. Copeland Village includes multiple restaurants, a laundromat, and a liquor store. It is unclear what the joint operation was searching for. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- A Fulton County jury has concluded that an Alpharetta woman is guilty of reckless conduct. Charlotte Landy's two Rottweiler dogs escaped from her yard and mauled two young boys on May 11, 2021. Officials report that Landy knew that the dogs had a tendency to bite due to a previous incident involving a bitten construction worker the year before. She has been sentenced to eight years in prison followed by three years of house arrest. Each young boy had to get over 200 stitches. (WSBTV)
- A new report, issued by ATTOM, indicates that institutional investors are shedding single-family home rentals in the Sandy Springs area. The report states that 16.8 percent of institutional sellers sold rental properties in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell area.
