Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:
- Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul reports the municipalities were encouraged by Fulton County's local option sales tax revenue proposal. Despite the encouragement, the municipalities declined the offer. The next mediation session is scheduled for Oct. 7. (ReporterNewspapers.net)
- Residents outraged by false allegations of fraud and harassment of a Georgia elections employee are signing up as poll workers in Fulton County. The Associated Press surveyed about two dozen prospective poll workers in Fulton County about their decision to sign up. According to the poll, about half cited the 2020 election as the main determining factor in their decision. One prospective poll worker stated, "I'm going to stand up for the people who are afraid." - Christian Brothers Automotive has been recognized by the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce as the 2022 Small Business of Excellence. The small business was recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, hard work, and sound business practices.
