Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:
- Four Fulton County public schools will be offering free meals to children under the age of 18, and to those under the age of 21 with special needs. Sandy Springs middle school will participate in the meal program from June 8 to July 8. The Fulton County School Nutrition Program will also be partnering with local organizations to provide free summer meals at community locations throughout Fulton County.(Reporter Newspapers)
- Elected officials from Fulton, and nearby counties, met yesterday to discuss how to tackle crime using a regional approach. Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts will serve as the host, which will focus on topics including gang intervention, mental health, public policy, and funding. The meeting comes in the wake of the death of 22-year-old Nygil Cullins, whose family identified a lack of urgency, and mental health training as having led to his death. (CBS 46 News)
- A man is missing from nearby Dunwoody after last being seen on May 11. Shaihi Hassan Stukes, 25, was last seen walking on Ashford Dunwoody Road towards Brookhaven. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or Detective Waldron at 678-382-6911. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
