Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. Fulton County mayors and the County Commissioner met with the community on Sep. 21 to discuss the local option sales tax (LOST). The information session was held at Roswell City Hall. Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul was in attendance. The county and its municipalities are still negotiating the distribution of the taxes. (Subscription: AppenMedia)
2. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office reports that an inmate of the Fulton County Jail has died during a recent incident. The department has not released information about the incident or the inmate's identity. The jail has been under recent scrutiny about intimidation and violent beatings by prisoners demanding money. 3. The Community Assistance Center's Career Center has opened in Sandy Springs. The new Career Center will be accepting clients that come into the Community Assistance Center for financial assistance. The Career Center will be assessing the abilities and needs of the individuals. The Career Center is located at 1130 Hightower Trail. (ReporterNewspapers.net)
