Michael Parson Among Recent Shoot to Kill Wives/Girlfriends

The horrible truth is Michael Parson is not the first husband to shoot his wife or girlfriend in an attempted murder in Sandy Springs or the nation, and sadly he will not be the last.

The police investigation and trial revealed that Parson led a double life by carrying on an affair with co-worker, Rachel Harner, at a Dunwoody pet store. Harner thought Parson was single and Adina was his aunt
In a separate case, Sandy Springs Police believe Matthew Terry shot his ex-girlfriend and mother of his four-year-old son, several times, once in the face, at Chastain Apartments, on March 24.

Earlier in May, Wilmington, N.C. Police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force apprehended Terry at a Wilmington apartment complex.
In July 2011, Sandy Springs Police discovered Jamal and Irene Mickens in a murder-suicide. After luring wife Irene to a Hammond Drive highrise, saying one their kids was sick, police believe Jamal shot Irenein the head with a semi-automatic 9 mm handgun and then turned the gun on himself.
