- A motorist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 at Terrell Mill Road when his gray Nissan Maxima was struck from behind by a silver Toyota Tacoma, according to Cobb Police. The male victim, who has not been identified yet, was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries; the other driver's status is unknown. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the police. (East Cobb News)
- The Cobb County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution opposing a bill to increase the allowable weight for trucks and their loads by 10,000 pounds. The bill, HB-189, is supported by the logging industry and commodity haulers but opposed by safety advocates and the Georgia Department of Transportation chief engineer. Cobb County claims that the increase in weight would cause damage to roads and bridges, resulting in increased maintenance costs for taxpayers. (Cobb County Courier)

- The Fulton County Sheriff's Office partnered with Talitrix to implement The ITW Solution, a wristband tracking technology, which includes biometric monitoring, tracking inmate movements, and real-time tracking of inmate interactions. (WSB Atlanta)
- GDOT contractors closed lanes on I-75 in Marietta, Cobb, and Fulton counties over the weekend as part of a bridge preservation project. The project will close three lanes on I-75 southbound from the I-75/I-575 interchange to Canton Road and one lane on the Canton Road Connector northbound ramp, expected to finish by Fall 2023 with $10.7 million cost.
