- Sandy Springs has approved spending for a new cultural center. The project will eventually house a police precinct, Visit Sandy Springs, and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust. The Sandy Springs City Council has designated $582,700 for the center's design. (Reporter Newspapers)
- Sandy Springs' ALDI store is hosting a hiring event next week from Sep. 12 through Sep. 18. The event is part of the grocery chain's National Hiring Week initiative. Participants will have the opportunity to interview on-site and job offers will be made the same day. The event will be at the ALDI location on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. (Patch)
- The Georgia State Patrol has charged a driver for a deadly crash that occurred in Fulton County on Labor Day. The incident occurred on Monday around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Flat Shoals Road and Buffington Road. Brandon Rashad Houston, 32, has been charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence, speeding, reckless driving, and more. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
