Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:

1. Sandy Springs has approved spending for a new cultural center. The project will eventually house a police precinct, Visit Sandy Springs, and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust. The Sandy Springs City Council has designated $582,700 for the center's design. (Reporter Newspapers)
2. Sandy Springs' ALDI store is hosting a hiring event next week from Sep. 12 through Sep. 18. The event is part of the grocery chain's National Hiring Week initiative. Participants will have the opportunity to interview on-site and job offers will be made the same day. The event will be at the ALDI location on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. (Patch)
3. The Georgia State Patrol has charged a driver for a deadly crash that occurred in Fulton County on Labor Day. The incident occurred on Monday around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Flat Shoals Road and Buffington Road. Brandon Rashad Houston, 32, has been charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence, speeding, reckless driving, and more. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
