🌱 Old Riverside Drive Park Plans + Buckhead Shopping Center Robbery

Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:

1. City officials announced a public meeting to be held with the aim of involving the community in plans for the Old Riverside Drive Park. The June 6 meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the planning process, and to voice their input on the layout of the park. The city is updating a master plan for the site located at 6500 Old Riverside Drive, which consists of 23 acres of land. (Reporter Newspapers)
2. A victim was stalked and robbed outside of a shopping center in Buckhead on Tuesday afternoon. The victim was putting away her groceries outside of the Publix on West Paces Ferry Road when two men followed her, one waiting near her car. The suspects then approached her car and forcefully robbed her at gunpoint. (WSB Atlanta)
3. Celebrity chef Scott Conant is prepped to debut his new Italian steakhouse, Americano, in Buckhead on Monday, May 23. The eatery will be located at the InterContinental Hotel, and will occupy the space left by the closing of Art Smith's Southern Art. The Americano will feature a mixture of table and booth seating, with an island bar and lounge area. (Eater Atlanta)
