🌱 Old Riverside Master Plan + I-85 Lane Closures + Missing Swimmer

Happy Monday, Sandy Springs! I am your host Patrick Murray here with three stories to kick off your morning.

First, today's weather:

Thunderstorms with a high of 85 and a low of 71.

Here are the top stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. Sandy Springs residents have until the end of today to participate in the Old Riverside Drive Park Master Plan. A public survey has been made available for locals to provide input for how they would like to see the park redesigned and improved. The input of the public will help to guide the direction of the project. (Paywall: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
2. An accident early on Sunday morning led to multiple lanes being closed on I-85 northbound. By 7:18 a.m., the Georgia Department of Transportation reported that four of the five lanes had been opened. The cause of the crash was not immediately apparent. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
3. Rescue efforts continue after a man went missing while swimming in the Chattahoochee River on Friday evening. According to witnesses, the 27-year-old man was trying to cross the river at a popular rock diving spot, and was unable to stay afloat. The victim was last seen at about 8 p.m. on Friday. (CBS 46 News)
