- The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCID) is considering providing up t0 $15.2 million for nine transportations projects in Sandy Springs. The self-taxing organization has either agreed, or is strongly considering funding each of these proposed projects. The first project will include the construction of a multi-use trail on Mount Vernon Road, from Abernathy to Barfield. (Reporter Newspapers)

- Award-winning artist Mariah Carey has purchased a $5.5 million, 16,600 square foot home in Sandy Springs. The six-bedroom mansion on behalf of the singer by The Mirage Real Estate Trust.
