Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:
- The Sandy Springs Police are attempting to identify a “Peeping Tom” who has been spotted multiple times at the same apartment complex. One renter believes the man has been attempting to look at his female roommate, and was caught on camera with a hand on his groin before zipping his pants and leaving. Last month, the suspect broke through their screen door and fled only after hearing a male voice inside the apartment. So far, no other reports of a "peeping Tom" have been filed in the area. (WSB-TV)
- The City of Sandy Springs is looking to change emergency procedures after the recent water crisis. Rusty Paul, the Sandy Springs mayor, has apologized by stating they didn’t meet communication standards when a large area of their city was without water and are making corrections to better aid the community in the future. He invites those in Sandy Springs to sign up for the Sandy Springs Alerts system here, and also plans to make information readily available on the city’s website and social media pages. (Rough Draft Atlanta)
- The local theater company Act3Productions has now released its 2023-24 schedule! This year’s theme is all about laughter, and kicks off the season with the Tony Award-nominated production, Xanadu, a musical on roller skates playing Sep. 8 through Sep. 24. Season tickets and single tickets are available here, and you can find the full list of upcoming shows here. (Sandy Springs Patch)
