Recycle Your Christmas Tree On Jan. 5 In Sandy Springs

Keep North Fulton Beautiful will host its annual Bring One for the Chipper Christmas tree recycling program.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Now that the Christmas holiday is receding in the rear-view mirror, you will have to find a suitable place to dispose of the tree that was the center of your decorations.

For Sandy Springs residents, you can take advantage of a free service offered by Keep North Fulton Beautiful in collaboration with The Home Depot. From 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, residents can drop off their live trees at two locations in Sandy Springs:

  • The Home Depot (near the garden department) at 6400 Peachtree Dunwoody Road.
  • Sandy Springs Recycling Center at 470 Morgan Falls Road.

If you are planning to drop off your tree for recycling, be sure to remove any decorations (lights, tinsels, ornaments, etc). You're also asked to be sure the tree has not been flocked, or sprayed with fake snow made from artificial materials.
