Ridgeview Students To Perform Before ASO Holiday Concert
A free concert by the school's Chamber Orchestra will be held at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 16 at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A free concert by Ridgeview Charter School’s Chamber Orchestra will be held Sunday at Atlanta Symphony Hall. The Sandy Springs students will take the stage at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Galleria Lobby in the Hall, which is at the Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown.
The Chamber Orchestra is one of numerous performing arts ensembles at Ridgeview Charter School and is the most advanced orchestra. Made up of 43 members ages 11 to -14, the Chamber Orchestra will perform a complimentary selection of holiday and classical favorites before the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s “A Festive Family Holiday” 3 p.m. concert, for which tickets are required.
As the premiere ensemble, the Chamber Orchestra is challenged with more complicated, demanding repertoires and has additional performance opportunities within the school and the community. Ridgeview’s Director of Orchestras, Jessie Dixon, is an alumna of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and was invited to conduct the Chamber Orchestra at the venue.
