Riverwood Charter School Senior Named Presidential Scholar

From Riverwood International Charter School: Riverwood International Charter School senior, Alex West, has been awarded the Georgia College and State University Presidential Scholarship. Mr. West will attend Georgia College in the fall. The Presidential Scholarship Competition (PSC) provides an opportunity for high-achieving high school seniors from across the country to compete for Georgia College’s most prestigious scholarships. The PSC awards scholarships to incoming first-year students with superior academic accomplishments. These are among the most prestigious – and competitive – awards offered to freshmen.
Approximately 60 students visited the Georgia College campus for the day-long scholarship competition last December after being selected from a pool of applicants. Students interviewed with faculty, interacted with current students, participated in a classroom experience and explored the Georgia College campus.
