Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:
- Police have identified a man wanted for shooting another driver multiple times in a road rage incident on Sunday afternoon. Officers responded to a call at N. Druid Hills Road and Peachtree Road shortly before 2 p.m., were they found the 46-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Joshua Holder, 29, from Savannah, has been identified as the shooter and is being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center. (WSB Atlanta)
- The Fulton County School System announced new rules regarding student cellphone usage, beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. The rule change represents one of several revisions to the Code of Conduct and Student Handbook and will limit the times when students are allowed to use their cellphones, tablets, or other smart devices. Assistant Superintendent Christopher Matthews called the use of such devices "highly distracting."
- Woodhouse Spa Buckhead is set to open later this month and is one of few in the area that is a Black-owned, woman-owned business. Stacey Howell told The Atlanta Voice that her "dream is to bring everyone together," and hopes to do so with her business venture. The Buckhead location will represent Woodhouse Spa's third location in Atlanta. (The Atlanta Voice)
