Here are the top three stories today in Sandy Springs:

1. Award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson will take over the former Adele's restaurant space next to Biggerstaff Brewing Company and Staplehouse on Edgewood Avenue and open his new restaurant, Marcus Bar and Grille. The kitchen will keep a familiar face as Adele's chef Hannah Young will lead the kitchen serving some of Samuelsson's best-known dishes from his cookbook, such as his Old Bay crab cakes and brown sugar wings. In addition to the dining area, bar, and front patio seating, the restaurant will tap into Atlanta culture and feature a private dining room in the back fashioned after a hip-hop recording studio with vintage art and albums on the walls. 2. You can expect more townhomes to be developed soon – Toll Brothers plans to build 33 new townhome units in Avondale Estates. The units will provide flexible lifestyles with convenient access to arts, music, restaurants, shopping, and access to major roadways at a reasonable price for the area. Being centered around beautiful green open space and access to the Stone Mountain Trial, a multi-use greenway connecting downtown Atlanta and Dekalb County. 3. Although prices and interest are rising, the market to buy a home in metro Atlanta is one of the best in the nation. At first glance, it may not seem as though the market is trending in the right direction, but inventory is increasing for condos and townhomes.
