Baby Squirrel Rescued, Nursed Back To Health By Sandy Springs Officer

According to the Sandy Springs Police Department, an officer recently found a baby squirrel "crying" behind its headquarters.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A baby squirrel is possibly alive today thanks to an observant Sandy Springs police officer with a big heart.

According to the police department, one of its officers recently heard something crying in the bushes behind headquarters.

That's when he decided to investigate. To the officer's surprise, he found a crying baby squirrel that had fallen from its nest.
